Trust

Annesbrook Community Trust exists to bring lasting change and hope to our local community.

We partner with local schools and organisations to deliver empowering programmes that equip young people with the tools they need to thrive. At the heart of everything we do are strong relationships and practical support—helping young people discover their value, build resilience, and find a sense of purpose in their lives.

Shine Girl

Shine Girl is an eight-week personal development programme designed to inspire and empower pre-teen and teenage girls. It focuses on building self-worth, resilience, and a sense of purpose through engaging lessons on Worth, Strength, and Purpose. A key part of Shine is the positive, trusting relationships built between the facilitators and the girls.

Our dedicated team creates a safe and supportive environment where each participant feels seen, heard, and valued. Through encouragement, team activities, and one-on-one conversations, facilitators help the girls grow in confidence and self-belief. Each girl receives her own journal, thoughtful take-home gifts, and a certificate upon graduation. Shine Girl uses creative, interactive, and reflective learning to help girls discover their unique value and embrace their potential.

24-7 YouthWork

For over 15 years, Annesbrook Community Trust has proudly facilitated the 24-7 YouthWork programme in local schools, walking alongside young people during some of the most formative years of their lives. 24-7 YouthWork is a national initiative focused on presence-based youth support, placing dedicated youth workers in schools to build strong, consistent relationships and be a positive, trusted presence in students’ everyday lives.

Our youth workers don’t just show up—they genuinely care. We currently have youth workers in Broadgreen Intermediate, Nayland College, and Nelson College for Girls, partnering closely with school staff to create a healthy, connected school culture.

The programme is built on five key outcomes: building positive relationships, supporting staff and students, cultivating school spirit, developing leadership, and helping young people engage in meaningful out-of-school activities. At the heart of it all is a deep desire to see every young person feel valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
